The Good Life Beauties was established at the Texas Compound (texascompound.com) in Oak Hill. The Good Life Barber Car (the barber car.com) and The Good Life Beauties are family businesses that share a 1949 Souther Pacific railcar. When you visit us, you will receive specialized services determined by your hair needs and your desires. The beauty industry is rapidly growing and constantly changing. We strive to stay up to date with the new trends, techniques, and products by taking every continuing education opportunity. As a three-chair salon, we offer a quiet and private experience where you can relax and enjoy your time. Expect to be pampered and leave feeling and looking beautiful!

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy – Sometimes you may need to cancel/reschedule an appointment. We ask that you kindly give us a 24-hour notice.

Missed Appointments

Things happen, we know. Missed appointments will require a credit card to be put on file before booking you next appointment. Should another appointment be missed, 50% of the booked appointment will be charged to your card.

Redo Policy

If for any reason you are unhappy with the service you received, please reach out to us within two weeks. We want you to feel completely satisfied with our services. We will book you another appointment for the same services received at no cost to you.

I've been a client of Mandy's for the last three years-from helping me find my right "natural shade" to helping me experiment with non-traditional colors, Mandy has seen me through it all!She has helped me navigate postpartum hair loss with smart cuts and my favorite is that she always shows me how to style my hair at home so that I can look as good as I do when leaving her chair. On top of that, is she has a heart of absolute gold and is always a delight to catch up with over color and cut. There is no one I trust more with my most prized asset - my hair!

I've been going to Mandy since about 2019 and have left extremely happy and gorgeous every single time! She's done regular bang/hair trims, highlights, and fun/crazy colors for about 3 years and even helped me find my perfect hairstyle. On top of being an amazing hair stylist, Mandy is a badass, energetic, and outgoing human! Getting my hair done with her is always fun, but what I love most are our conversations! We talk for 3+ hours every time and just have lots of fun laughing and talking. I'm so glad I met her when I did and I plan to stay with her as long as I can.
